Tzatziki is a yoghurt-based dip or condiment that is popular in Turkey and Greece. We love it in our house as you can put it with so many things. We often have it with grilled salmon or even just mixed through some brown rice for an easy dinner. I always have the ingredients in the fridge and it’s so quick to throw together and keep on hand for when the need arises. Coming into the festive season it’s a great dip recipe for when you’re entertaining and want to add it to your charcuterie board.
- 1 cup greek yoghurt
- 1/2 medium cucumber
- 1/8 red onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 handful fresh mint
- salt and pepper to taste
Finely dice the cucumber and onion. Alternatively grate them if you don't like it too chunky.
Mince the garlic and finely slice the mint.
Throw all of the ingredients into a bowl and stir together.
Serve in a bowl with your choice of crackers, veggie sticks or pita bread.
