I love a good smoothie. For breakfast, sometimes lunch, or even post workout. And this Blueberry Hemp Seed Protein Smoothie is my favourite go-to. It’s the perfect way to add a bunch of fruit and veggies to your day and it tastes really good! For me a good smoothie involves frozen fruit to make it nice and smooth so I’m big on freezing bananas and other fruit to throw in. I always keep packets of frozen berries in the freezer too. Pair them with a bunch of spinach for greens, a yummy wholefood, plant-based protein powder like this one, and some nuts and seeds for good fats and extra protein. I’m in love with hemp seeds right now so they’re my choice for this. I use my favourite protein powder in this recipe, but feel free to add whatever one you have.

Blueberry Hemp Seed Protein Smoothie

  • 300 ml/ 10 oz filtered water
  • 1 frozen banana sliced
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 handful spinach
  • 8 raw cashews
  • 1 Tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 sachet/scoop Vanilla Complete protein powder


  1. Throw all of the ingredients into a blender and whizz for a minute or so.

  2. Pour in a glass and sip away!
